§ 521.02 - Notice To Owner; Redemption Or Sale By City.

Whenever the PBP, PPA or an authorized City agent has impounded a vehicle pursuant to

Section 521.01

, notice of the removal and storage place of the vehicle shall be mailed to the last registered owner if the name and address of the owner can be ascertained with reasonable diligence. The notice shall state that if the owner fails to reclaim the vehicle within fifteen (15) days from the date of the mailing, a lien shall be placed on the vehicle and the vehicle shall be sold at public auction to be held not sooner than thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of certified mailing.
